Ben Williams, Managing Director & Founder
Ben Williams is a Managing Director and the founder of Treaty Oak Equity. Prior to founding Treaty Oak, Mr. Williams was a Principal at Peak Rock Capital, a leading middle-market private equity firm. He was also previously a Vice President at Aurora Resurgence. During his tenure at both firms, Mr. Williams focused on equity investments in a variety of middle market companies and has served as a board member for numerous portfolio companies. Prior to Aurora Resurgence, Mr. Williams held roles at Insight Equity and Houlihan Lokey.
Mr. Williams received an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business where he was named an Arjay Miller Scholar. He also received a B.B.A in Finance and Accounting from Texas Christian University.
Chris Mason, Managing Director
Chris Mason is a Managing Director at Treaty Oak Equity. Prior to joining Treaty Oak, Mr. Mason was an investment professional at Peak Rock Capital, a leading middle-market private equity firm. He also previously worked at CCMP Capital, a $4 billion private equity fund. During his tenure at both firms, Mr. Mason focused on equity investments in a variety of companies and has served as a board member for multiple portfolio companies. Mr. Mason began his career at Lazard Frères & Co.
Mr. Mason received an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business where he was an Arbuckle Leadership Fellow. He also received a B.A. in Economics, magna cum laude, from Middlebury College.
Aaron Hamer, Operating Partner
Aaron Hamer serves as Operating Partner for Treaty Oak. Prior to joining Treaty Oak, Mr. Hamer was the CEO of Highline Produce Ltd., a leading producer of organic mushrooms sold to retail and foodservice. At Highline, he delivered an aggressive expansion strategy over seven years, including both substantial organic growth and growth through acquisitions. He also previously worked as the CFO of Enginetics, an aerospace focused manufacturer. During his tenure at both firms, Mr. Hamer focused on building high performing teams, professionalizing processes and driving value by implementing strategic initiatives. Mr. Hamer began his career in the M&A advisory group for National City.
Mr. Hamer received a B.B.A. in Finance from Emory University.

Hayden Farr, Senior Associate
Hayden Farr is an Associate at Treaty Oak Equity. Prior to joining Treaty Oak, Mr. Farr was an Associate at Pearl Energy Investments, a Dallas-based private equity firm focused on energy and sustainability investments in the lower-to-middle market. He also previously worked for Credit Suisse as an Analyst in the Oil & Gas Investment Banking Group in Houston.
Mr. Farr received a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin.
Amanda Steffey, Senior Associate
Amanda Steffey is a Senior Associate at Treaty Oak Equity. Prior to joining Treaty Oak, Ms. Steffey was an Associate at Aterian Investment Partners, a NYC based private equity firm focused on investing in family founded businesses in the middle market. She also previously was an investment professional at Sixth Street and CVC Credit Partners where she focused on both public and private credit investments.
Ms. Steffey received a B.A. in Economics from Boston College.
